Parque Cauceglia, Montevideo
Polyclinic
Mass Timber System
Located in the La Teja neighborhood of Montevideo, this 140 m² polyclinic represents a key advance in both social infrastructure and construction innovation: it is one of the first health buildings in Uruguay to be built with the Mass Timber system.
The project was carried out in a purely urban environment, which posed logistical and execution challenges. However, thanks to the precision of the timber system, the entire assembly was completed in just 20 days, minimizing the impact on the community and its immediate surroundings.
With a total of 31 m³ of CLT and GLT used, this project demonstrates how efficient and sustainable construction can be at the service of social welfare, integrating spatial quality, speed of execution and low environmental impact.
The new La Teja polyclinic is much more than a building site: it is an example of how architecture can improve lives.
