Mass Timber System
The construction consists of three two-story blocks each, plus an integrated covered grill area by the pool.
The entirety of the walls and intermediate floors are made of CLT. For the roofs, GLT beams, wooden ceilings, and prepainted metal sheeting were used.
The interior combines painted plaster finishes with exposed CLT.
It’s worth noting that the mass timber elements arrived at the construction site on 22/09/19, and the hotel began operating these apartments on 30/12/19. This highlights one of the main advantages of the system: speed and efficiency.

Comparative thermal balances were performed, simulating a block constructed with a traditional system. The results showed that, over the annual period, there’s an energy saving of more than 30% to maintain the same level of thermal comfort. The project received a special mention in the energy efficiency awards from MIEM in 2020.
