Enkel was responsible for the development of the new Moorlands School building in Los Olivos de los Horneros, an educational project of 2,000 m² of interior surface and more than 3,000 m² of exterior spaces.
Under the turnkey modality, taking charge of the management of subcontractors and tasks, Enkel was in charge of the assembly of the project.
The architectural proposal – designed by Gómez Platero Architecture and Urbanism with interior design by Dovat Arquitectos – was based on the use of the Mass Timber construction system, which combined speed, precision and natural integration with the surrounding green environment.

The structure was assembled in just a month and a half, the assembly included 630 m³ of structural timber -480 m³ of CLT and 150 m³ of GLT– supplied by Arboreal, with whom Enkel has once again consolidated a smooth and efficient technical partnership. In addition, the total execution of the project took eight months, a significantly shorter time than would be required for a project of this type carried out entirely under a traditional system.
Mass Timber’s fast and precise assembly not only optimized construction times, but also minimized disruptions to the environment and allowed high technical quality standards to be achieved at every stage. Each structural component was designed and worked with millimetric accuracy, adjusting to the needs of the project, making this educational space a place of quality and comfort.

This new building reinforces Enkel’s commitment to the development of state-of-the-art school infrastructure. It is part of a series of projects that the company has developed in the educational sector, such as The Garzón School or Imagine Centro Educativo, two other examples of its experience in constructive solutions that promote modern, safe learning environments adapted to the needs of the present.
