We receive recognition for innovation in the construction process of the José Ignacio Inn thanks to the results in thermal efficiency, achieving shorter construction times using solid counter-laminated wood panels or CLT, and for the incorporation of efficient lighting technologies.
Enkel Group Uruguay adopts the “Smart Choices” concept as a philosophy of life and as a motto when making intelligent decisions to have a positive environmental impact through the use of counter-laminated wood panels as raw material in our construction projects.
47% of CO2 released into the atmosphere is produced by the construction industry, in the case of our ventures we use a product such as wood that is a natural CO2 container and consumes no more energy than solar energy for its production.
In “Posada José Ignacio”, 532 m3 of wood were used, which is equivalent to 580 tons of Co2 contained in the infrastructure, which is equivalent to removing 122 cars from the automotive plaza for 1 year.
The project “Posada José Ignacio” has three three-story buildings with hotel services, two two-level hostel buildings and a single-level bungalow building. These six buildings function as wooden blocks in the forest integrating with the environment.
Following the line of innovation in energy efficiency and intelligent decision making, the Anastasio project was born. This is the second wood hotel project created by Enkel Group Uruguay; in which we also use the most efficient technologies and the most noble raw material that nature can offer us.
