Inspiring works.
Casa Uruguaya is a project done by some ORT university students. It was recognized by the UNO, winning the Solar Decathlon 2015 competition of Latin America and the Caribbean.
This project consists of a smart house built with timber panels coming from the Uruguayan forests and with the FSC certificate.
They chose wood because it was considered the most efficient material, with lowest environmental impact, endurance quality, malleability and renewal capacity.
Besides, Casa Uruguaya was declared to be of interest by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining.
