CLT transforms the construction sector in Uruguay.
Two recent events have boosted wood construction in our country:
1- The installation of a Mass Timber plant in Uruguay: Arboreal plant in Tacuarembó.
2- The government’s announcement of a “road map” for the construction of social housing with wood structures.
The installation in Uruguay of the largest CLT plant in South America will make available to the local and regional market a structural input that is scarce in the region and necessary in the process of larger scale transformation of the construction sector.
