Works that inspire: offices for SmartMill in Lévis, designed and built by Atelier Guy Architects. This project located in Quebec, Canada, has a structure made with glulam (glulam) columns and floor and was designed to have open and bright spaces connected to nature and the outdoors. The use of wood in most of the building was a design choice that reflects the vision and desire on the part of the client and the architectural firm to promote the use of local wood and sustainable construction. These types of projects represent great advances in the world of Mass Timber, and serve as an example of the possibilities of this construction system.
